Ad-Aware VX2 Cleaner Plugin

I am using Ad-Aware by Lavasoft and am not a 100% satisfied wit it’s performance. The problems I had with spyware are partially gone but there are still some things that I think are not regular that take place on my computer. There is some kind of plugin for Ad-Aware, VX2 Cleaner and I would like to know how helpful it could be? Is it worth downloading?

It seams that it is useful tool. It’s purpose is to clean VX2 malware ( as named ) that can not be cleaned in regular way by Ad-Aware program. The plugin is designed to work with all editions of Ad-Aware 6 build 181, so check what version is your computer running. As I understood the VX2 variants that this plugin can successfully clean registers themselves with system privileges and have a mechanism to monitor registry database for attempts to remove it’s associated values and thus makes it very difficult to remove. When such malware is detected with VX2 Cleaner plugin it requires reboot of the system to disinfect it. It is noticeable a number of downloads for this plugin and ratings are pretty high. I don’t know if this will solve all of your problems since it might or might not be related to this kind of malware, but installation of this plugin will make no harm.
