Hello people. I have Westell 2200 DSL modem device and Linksys router. I want to set up the Westell to work just as a modem. I want to use routing capabilities of Linksys, because it have 4 more free ethernet ports on it. I have no idea from where should I begin to do that, so I need some correct directions. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Hello. I can tell that youll have to reset the westell. You will find a hole from the back just enough for a needle. When you reset the westel, go inside the Linksys from the browser, usually like //192.168.1.1 and set the PPPoE, or Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet. And if that is not done already by your service provider, you do, and that would be all. ... I think.
