| Hello. I need access to my linksys router. I am little curious about my real IP address. I am using dynamic IP address range. Beside that, I have heard so many nice things about Linksys hardware, I own one too, so I want to see all things inside. I want to block some certain ports because of P2P security. Is it possible to do from the cmd window? Thanks. |

| Yes, it is possible to do it from the command prompt window, but it is much easier for you to type http://192.168.1.1 inside your web browsers address bar, and there you are. The default gateway is very common for a lot of brands, in fact I think this is the IP access to any other router including Linksys. Note, that all routers have their Physical or Mac addresses, and by tracking them (you cannot change these) your ISP has ability to see every single change you apply to your hardware. Beware of that. |
