Hello, all. I have this net access situation that's been driving me crazy for days now. What happens is best described in the subject, I suppose. In safe mode, I connect OK, but in standard mode, I get just blank pages in browser windows. I'm using a router / access point, but since other machines on the network have no such problem, I'm guessing it's something over here that's messing with my head. I can ping using IP addresses, but not actual addresses. I was told to try flushing DNS (whatever that means), but turns out I can't, in any mode (safe or standard). Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

This sounds much like the problem I used to have, couldn't connect in normal mode, just safe. It turned out to be a spyware issue – there was something called NewDotNet there. Don't know what exactly it is, but it was messing with my DNS settings. I finally removed it with Spy Bot, after a few failed attempts.
