Hi, I have a couple of questions about Access … well, more like one question and one problem.
First: Is there some way to use Access to schedule a certain task that would be performed on a certain database periodically? Copying, moving, deleting, editing, stuff like that?
Second, and sort of related: On my network, some Access databases are being periodically edited from an unknown source, and apparently automatically; they grow slowly over time, and sometimes this process blocks a user who's trying to access that database. What could cause this, and how do we get rid of it? Thanks in advance.

In answer to your first question, I'm not aware of such an option in Access 97. You could probably try putting together something like that using the task scheduler in Windows itself; though I don't think you'll be able to edit, moving and such should work.
Therefore, the situation described in your second question probably isn't caused by Access itself. I'll bet some other application is scheduled to edit the database periodically, running in the background. If you can localize the client from which this is coming, you should be able to find it and turn it off regularly.
