Hello! I have small business and a problem with Access 2000 database. I have three networked XP computers and I have bought one new with Vista preinstalled on it. XP computers do not have any problem to access .mdb file, but this new computer cannot access it at all. What I need to do to fix this? Thanks!

Hello! First of all, you will need to check settings in Access 200 and properly configure them. First, open Access 2000, then click on Tools menu, then click Options. You need to set as Shared Default Open Mode (I assume that it is now set as Exclusive). Besides this, you will need to set as Edited Record Default Record Locking. When you do this, your vista computer will access .mdb file without any problems.
