Is this a brand of some kind? I heard a lot of people talking about it a lot, and often some of them found it humorous, but I didn't want to ask too many questions so I sort of went along with their talk as if I knew what they were on about. If it's a cooling system, is it for computer hardware at al? Where can I find out more about it?

In response to your questions directly – yes and no, yes, and at the [H]ard|Forum (well, the address is actually just hardforum.com, though it does sound a lot cooler that way, don't you think?) Anyway, search there for "absolut watercooling", and don't be surprised with what comes up - the information is more amusing than actually, real-life useful.
