Hard drive died in my laptop and I need to replace it. So, I would like to ask you a question about replacing a hard drive in laptop. Is it possible for me to do it or I need to take laptop to some technician. Also, is it better to buy a new hard drive or to send laptop to authorized service center and let them install new original hard drive?

It is not hard to replace hard drive in laptop. You have to take off bottom side of laptop and, optionally, keyboard if your laptop is designed in a way that is impossible to access hard drive if keyboard is in place. So, if you feel comfortable enough with these things you can do on your own. Sending laptop to authorized service center is the best, but also the most expensive option.
