AVG email scanner not working

I am using Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 installed and all the latest updates applied. AVG antivirus is installed and updated. Everything is working fine except AVG email scanner. AVG icon in systray is grayed out and when I hover mouse over it I can see message that "e-mail scanner is not fully functional". I do not know how to fix this issue. Can you help me?

Open AVG Control Centre and go to Email scanner properties. Click on Servers tab and check settings for POP3 and SMTP servers. Set your POP3 server as fixed if it is set differently and enter its address. Enter port number 110. Do the same for SMTP except port number which is 25 now. Save settings and exit. Reboot computer and AVG email scanner will work again.
