Hello dudes! Im an avid gamer and I change my video card very frequently in order to be able to meet the standards for playing these new demanding video games. Unfortunately, Im not a geek and I dont know much about technology. Im planning on buying a new card soon and Ive heard that sometimes AUX power connector is required by some new video cards. Is that true?
Hey there! Its true. Ever since the PCI standard has been introduced, video cards have been very power-demanding. Im also not too geeky but I know that in case your new video card needs more power youll have to plug an additional power source to the board. The manufacturers of video cards will usually provide you with additional power splitter or you can buy cheap cables in a computer store. In case you dont know whether your card needs additional power supply, carefully read the installation manual and there youll find information about that. I suppose that since you want to play the latest games, you buy those expensive cards from renowned manufacturers which usually include auxiliary cables and adapters in package if necessary.
