I was wondering which of the CPU manufacturers is better. You know AMD and Intel, there is no third. In the previous years, they were competing like crazy, but we still dont know the winner. AMD is cheaper, but is that mean its worse then INTEL? And the fact that Intel is the expensive one, does that mean its better? I am anIntel user, and its doing a fine job honestly. I was just wondering what the difference is.

| Well, that is the oldest question in the world. For example, 5 years ago, AMD was the supreme processor because of the K6 series. It was the absolute winner. It was cheap, fast, good for gaming and good for serious stuff. In that time Intels answer was Cyrix series. That was the worst processor in the world, trust me. And nowadays, it is different. I think that AMD is better for gaming and INTEL for this serious stuff. Intels bus speed is 800 Mhz which is perfect for hard core applications with several devcices. Each of these proccesors has its own architecture. On the same speed, Intel is faster then AMD. But for that quality you must pay more money. For same amount of cash, Intel and AMD have similar performance. There is no such a thing as a general performance. |
