AGP slots still in use?

Hi. I was puzzled when I found out yesterday that AGP video cards are still made and that people are still using AGP slots. I thought that this technology is long gone and that no one is using it anymore. I wonder if I have misinterpreted something or this is really true. I mean, what can you do with AGP video card? What is your opinion about this?

AGP slots are still in use and they will be in use for at least few years to come. You see, most people use computers for work and not for playing games and they do not have other requirements from video card but to show picture on monitor. IF you are a gamer then you will probably waste hundreds of dollars every year for new components but that is not the case with majority of computer users.
