Hello there. I really want to learn something more about AGP Aperture size. It is just because I think that it is somehow overtaking pretty much of ram memory over applied size. For example, Need For Speed Most Wanted. I have noticed that there is only around 50 megabytes of ram memory left for the system after few hours of playing, while that’s not the situation at the beginning of the race. I can see that from Windows Task Manager. And I think it is the main reason I am facing that game throttling. What value is the most common for Radeon 9600 cards? Thanks in advance.

Greetings. The amount of ram memory is not going to be used at all if there is enough graphic card memory. With AGP based graphic cards, the video memory of graphic card is mapped in the 4 gb’s. of addressed space. That’s the maximum size for any kind of memory which XP is able to handle. Or any other 32-bit operating system. So, it is always wise to leave the aperture size to the same level as your graphic memory is. Try to fins some patch for the game in regard.
