Hello and welcome! It is a some question. What I heard, must say different people different opinions on that matter, but generally those who are against that move are in major lead. One of main reasons is almost similar performance, will improve game performance but there is still an issue that appeared on a matter : upgrading a graphic card = asking for upgrading some other components. Probably power supply part had to be checked for start and then there is also a question of components compatibility - your PC built that you already have. For example: motherboard Gygabite K8VT800 Pro , Processor AMD Athlon 3000 and 512MB RAM are perfect combination for AGP 7600GT. I can only say cause right now I have some issues with motherboard, I am seriously thinking to ignore PC problems that I have now and try to safe money for better components then to take old model of motherboard that is good for other old parts of my PC. I decided to go for major configuration changes which is better then starting to combine old and new components, specially cause today they are rapidly evolving. Upgrading is not that safe way as I heard. Very often cause driver is never stable, power supply problems, bad electronics, bios problems. So final answer If you ask me, just suggesting - say no to that upgrade.
