Recently I decided to go from my Cable operator to ADSL. The price was much better and I didnt think much about the consequences. Well actually I didnt know anything about ADSL. Now my connection is resetting many times a day. Is this normal with ADSL? I read that a connection can break when somebody is calling you on a phone.
Im using D-Link G604T router/modem with Win Xp.

Well Im not sure what this could be, but I might think of few suggestions. First try to get modem another and test the quality of your connection. You can just borrow it from you friend or neighbor. Try to replace cables that connect you to the internet. And then check cable that connect your modem to computer ( USB or LAN). Check if u have a proper drivers installed (if needed).
I heard also that ADSL could cause these problems when talking on a telephone. This is explained to me to happen just when you receive a call. So you can check if your problem is happening at that time. If not then I think its vise to call technicians from your ISP and ask them to fix the problem.
Im not familiar with your modem but you can try to update the firmware, this things help some times.
