I tried to flash BIOS on an old Abit BE6 motherboard I have but I have some problems with it. I followed the instructions and everything looked fine but when I reboot I see that the version of the BIOS is the old one. The reason I want to update the BIOS is that I can get another faster CPU on it. Any ideas?
You have to double check the command line given in the instructions because typos occur frequently in such things and they are really hard to discover. I suppose you saved the previous BIOS version on a floppy so that you can return to it if something goes wrong. If you haven’t then I’m not sure what should be your next step.
