I was planning on getting a new motherboard, and a friend would sell me one that is almost new, with a warranty and half the price of the new one, but it has a 4X AGP card on new MoBo. It is not like I cant live without an 8x AGP's, but I would like to hear what do you thing about 4X AGP card on new MoBo.

I can help you with one part of your question. This part I have experience with. That was my first computer work I did myself. Essentially it wont make a difference in resolution when you compare maximal resolution or quality of video capture between 4X AGP and an 8X AGP. This is as far as resolution goes, but I dont know if the will be any problems with voltage. Hopefully someone else can answer that question. I firmly stand behind what I wrote about resolution, and any other questions you might have can be answered by somebody else. Good luck!
