I have a computer for last three years. However, a month ago, I got Partition magic. I have heard that software could allow users to manage size of partitions on HDD. I managed to found out manual on the Internet about how to use it. I bought 300GB Ultra ATA/133 HD yesterday. However, Partition Magic freezes often. What is wrong with it?

I do not want you to think that I am preaching, but I think you should think twice about using software like Partition magic. That program could easily scramble your Windows so bad that you cannot repair it and that way you may loose all the data on your notebook. At least, try to find somebody that has experience in working with Partition magic. You should ask him to explain you precisely how to work with it. Anyway, first partition should be bootable and you should install your operating system and all the other programs on it. On the second partition, you should keep all your data and reserve files.
