I tried to install Microsoft Office XP Standard Edition to my newly built machine with XP on it but I get this message: Error 1606: Could Not Access Network Location. What’s that all about? Up until now everything was OK with my system. Could it be that something’s wrong with the installation disc? Please reply as soon as possible since I really need Office to work properly in just a few days time.

I did a little search on your problem and it turns out that Microsoft has it really well handled on it’s site. Go to The whole process of getting rid of this error is a bit complicated but it’s probably the only way to fix it. Since you’ll probably going to skip the warning in the beginning as most people do, I’m just going to remind you to keep the backup of your registry before you make any changes or you may cause some serious damage to your system.
